Prime Minister Imran Khan conducted the groundbreaking of Farash Town apartments in Islamabad on Thursday following the Naya Pakistan Housing program.
Later discussing the ceremony, the Prime Minister said the project visualizes the construction of two thousand flats is directed at giving shelter to the underprivileged divisions of the housing society including workers and laborers.
He said he will soon perform groundbreaking of the peri-urban shelter society for the farmers.
Modern Conveniences
The Prime Minister said a plan has also been developed to convert the slums and implement them with modern conveniences including that of cleanliness and sewerage. He said the slum dwellers will be given houses on established rights.
He said the mortgage convenience has been introduced to accommodate loans to the people in easy installments so that they could assemble the houses. He said consultations are continuing with the banks to remove any restrictions.
The Prime Minister disapproved that the economy was mismanaged in history. He said such investments were taken in the past which alternatively of wealth production further expanded the burden of loans.
Wealth creation schemes
Imran Khan said the government is concentrating on wealth creation schemes to retire the country’s debt. He said these involve Ravi City and Central Business District in Lahore whilst negotiations are being held with the Sindh government to strengthen the Bundle Island. He was self-confident that these projects will attract massive investments.
He said the projects to be accomplished under Naya Pakistan Housing Program will also uplift the thirty businesses allied with the production division.
Growth and up-gradation
Imran Khan expressed satisfaction over increased movement in the construction industry. He pointed out that the concrete sale remained at a recording level last year while the growth has also been testified in the tax-collecting which symbolizes the business enterprise has increased in the country.
Imran Khan said it is the first time that the country’s textile industry is testifying a record boom. He said the small and medium businesses will also be uplifted to increase their percentage in the economy.
Imran Khan said we have envisioned up-gradation of the railway line from Karachi to Peshawar. He said consultations are also proceeding to take the train service to the Central Asian States to advance provincial trade.
