As a proprietor of your construction business, you only want what is best for you and your company, including better clients. But how do you bring loyal clients?
Here are some points on finding better clients for investing in your construction business:
Know Your Worth
This is not just understanding how much you should price your products or services, knowing how much your time is worth. Time is a precious source that, once used, you can never get back again. You do not want to give away your time for nothing.
If you want high-quality clients, you have proved that you are a high-quality, trade, or professional builder.
So be confident about your product or service. If you price what you have too low, that would mean that you are not happy with your service, or you think nobody would pay for a higher price. Either way, low prices are the most reliable way to attract the wrong type of client.
Know Your Customers (And Where to Find Them)
If you look for something, you first have to have a concept of that item in your mind.
So if you desire to find A-grade clients, you must have a vision of your ideal A-grade clients on your mind. List out what kinds of things you want your ideal client to have, such as ideal age, income, attitude, etc.
Once you have a view of them, think of the situations that give them strong emotions like the problems they have? What do they want or desire? What gets them frustrated?
Then transform your product or service to resolve those emotions.
You may also want to examine what kinds of features attract your ideal clients and apply them to your service. Know your ideal clients—people like it when you pay consideration to them and how they feel. So do not think only of yourself and getting paid, consider how you can help your clients.
Have a Clear Message
So you have everything set, you are trusting yourself and your service, and you know who and where to find your ideal clients. Now the thing that you need to think of is the message you will send to them so they will work with you.
Having the right message and setting it out clearly, is a significant factor in making your ideal clients. So make sure that your message is universal that your ideal clients are, and that it’s composed in a way that makes it seem like it was written about them. After all, you should think of the advantages they can get when they work with you.
Show Them Proof
People look for trades and builders to help them build their dream house or renovations. Clients only need the best, and they demand you to give them that. However, you know you can provide, but they don’t at least not yet.
So it would help if you explained to them what you could do. The great way to do this is to tell them before and after photos, and some raving testimonials from your previous clients.
If you tell them, “I’m a great proprietor!” Nobody would believe you. They will see you as unreliable and arrogant, but if you have many other people saying that you are a great builder or proprietor, clients would more likely flock to you. Make sure that you take lots of photos of the designs or projects you are doing and get lots of testimonials from your previous clients.
Deliver What You Promise
No matter how right your message is, no matter how many clients you have, it will all be for nothing if you don’t deliver what you’ve promised. You wouldn’t want to get on a client’s wrong side because that will mean they won’t refer you in the future, and they could tarnish your name, and we all know the power of Word of Mouth. Attracting loyal clients means you have to improve yourself too. You are a mirror, what you are and how you believe is what you get.
